Greetings, Macaroni Kid families!

Well, it’s finally here –welcome to springtime!  If you haven’t entered our FAMILY FOUR PACK contest to ride the EASTER BUNNY TRAIN, now is the time—we’ll be announcing in the winner in two weeks! Speaking of the Easter Bunny, when you’re done reading this article, skip on over to our EASTER BUNNY PHOTO SHOOT article to find out how you can get a family photo with the benevolent egg-giver himself!

High School Musicals Season

My daughter and I have seen several WONDERFUL high school musicals over the past few weeks. It’s crazy how much young talent we have right here in the Lehigh Valley! You can check out my reviews of Easton Area High School’s production of Oklahoma! and Southern Lehigh High School’s production of Les Miserables –two incredible and Freddy-worthy productions—by clicking on the links. We also saw a wonderful production of Big Fish at Wilson Area High School and fun productions of The Addams Family (Northwestern Lehigh High School) and Mary Poppins (Northampton Area High School) this month. If you haven’t been attending our local high school musicals, you’re really missing out! Take your family to see a local show, and support our talented students!

Congratulations to the FINDING NEVERLAND FAMILY FOUR PACK Winner!

Speaking of great shows, congratulations to Lisa Maria, the FAMILY FOUR PACK winner of tickets to see Finding Neverland at the State Theatre! We were lucky enough to receive complimentary tickets and saw the show on Wednesday night. It was a magical night—thank you, State Theatre!

Tae Kwon Do at Third Street Alliance

My daughter has been taking beginner’s Tae Kwon Do at Third Street Alliance since the beginning of the month, and she is already feeling more empowered and fit. She really looks forward to going twice a week and practices her moves at home in between lessons. If you have a kid of any age (or if you want to get in shape and learn self-defense yourself!) I highly recommend checking out this program, which is only $58 for an 8-week session and runs continuously throughout the year.

Pete the Cat Visits Book and Puppet Co This Week!

We were sad to miss Book and Puppet Co.’s zany production of THE ROCKY HORROR PUPPET SHOW, but I hear it was a smash success. I hope they’ll bring it back soon! In the meantime, Pete the Cat will be on hand after both story hours this weekend, so bring your camera, and head on over to the shop for your FREE STORY HOUR and character meet-n-greet.

Tonight is Easton Out Loud!

Be sure to head downtown tonight to celebrate Easton Out Loud! There are tons of fun activities planned for the whole family. You can check them out in our Events Calendar.

Have a wonderful first week of spring, and don’t forget to get out and about!
