Easton Public Market to Celebrate Third Anniversary

April 5, 2019

Some people celebrate an anniversary with some cake and candles, and call it a day. Not Easton Public Market — they know how to do it right.

Easton Public Market will celebrate its third anniversary with FOUR days of activities, tastings, and giveaways, running from April 11-14.

First up is the Taste of the Market, a ticketed sampling event that treats guests to a generous sample from each of the market’s food vendors. The event will run 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at the market, 325 Northampton St. You’ll need a passport for the tasting — there are only 100 tickets available ($25, available online at eastonpublicmarket.com). Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Third Street Alliance for Women and Children.

On Friday, April 12, grab a sweet treat or a favorite beverage from one of the market’s vendors and enjoy live music during the free Acoustic Kitchen series. Adam Web will play optimistic acoustifunk from 6-8 p.m.

Saturday, April 13 promises a full day of fun for families with the following events:

-Spring Cookie Decorating with Chef Ada (10 a.m. to 2 p.m., EPM kitchen, $5 per child)

-Music by DJ Brad Scott Smith (3-5 p.m.)

-Natural Egg Dyeing Workshop with Mercantile Outpost (3-5 p.m., EPM Kitchen, free)

-Plus, the FreySmiles Chick will be handing out treats, and beloved storybook character Pout Pout Fish will also make an appearance.

Sunday, April 14 will feature a Spring Detox Juicing Class (11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $25 per person) and a Cocktail Demo and Tasting with 3rd & Ferry Fish Market for those 21+ (3-4 p.m., EPM Kitchen, free). Younger visitors can get a chance to meet Robin Riding, the author of the just-released children’s book, “Mermaids Fast Asleep” during a special storytime and puppet party (2:30-3:30 p.m., FreySmiles Kids Zone).

Throughout the weekend, visitors can enter prize drawings at the Highmark Farmstand counter to win $50 Easton Public Market gift cards, T-shirts and tote bags.
