EAPL Reading Lottery, PRIDE Celebration, Bee Happening, Meet Clifford

Out and About in Easton

June 21, 2019

Greetings, Macaroni Kid families!

There is SO MUCH going on this week in Easton and the surrounding towns!!! Be sure to check your EVENTS calendar every day for updated/added listings.

Easton Area Public Library Hosts Reading Lottery

My 14-year-old is already tired of summer break (not really, but the recent gloomy weather had her pining for action and social activities.) I took her to the LIBRARY downtown, and she was able (at long last) to get the latest in her Warriors cat series, so she’s happier now. While we were there, we found out the library is hosting reading contests for adults AND kids this summer. Be sure to visit their site to find out how you and your family can enter the reading lottery to win fabulous prizes and gift cards just for READING!

Weekend Fun Downtown

The Easton Farmer’s Market is celebrating all things BEES on Saturday, so check out the feature about the family-fun happenings in the square on Saturday.

Clifford the Big Red Dog will be making an appearance at the Easton Public Market AND at Book and Puppet this weekend—look for the Saturday and Sunday events listings for full details.

Grown-ups, check out the return performance of INTO THE WOODS (all puppet version) at Book and Puppet Saturday night! Audience participation is welcome, of course.

Taylor Made Polish is offering a discount on their toxin-free, DIY nail polish experiences for Easton Area Macaroni Kid subscribers. Just mention us when you check out.

I’m so excited to be going to Tiffany Jenkins Live at the State Theatre Center for the Arts on Saturday night! Congratulations again to our BFF FOUR PACK WINNER, Marilyn Santos!I’ll look for you there.

Easton Celebrates Pride

Saturday is the big Easton PRIDE celebration on the river, from 12-10. The parade will begin at 11:30 in the square and the festivities will go on all day. Come out and celebrate with the LGBTQ community. It should be a lot of fun!

Don’t forget to get out and about this week, Eastonians. Shop local, and support your local businesses.
