Sunflower Pooch Parade & Flower Sale

Don't miss this Easton Farmer's Market family (plus pooch) fun event on September 7th!

August 30, 2019

Easton Farmers’ Market is looking for pups to walk in its first Sunflower Pooch Parade. The parade will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, during the market’s Sunflower Day.

Participating dogs will get a gift compliments of The Dining Dog after the Sunflower Pooch Parade. Please note, dog owners must walk with their leashed pet in the parade. Costumes are encouraged!

Sunflower Day, which celebrates the market’s signature flower, will run 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Centre Square, Easton. Visitors to the market will find sun-drenched sunflowers at Holy Cow Farm, Cabbage Throw Farm, Apple Ridge Farm and Pheasant Hill Farm.

Easton Farmers’ Market will also offer a host of other family-friendly activities throughout the day. Grins and Grins will be on-site, dressed as a giant sunflower, to entertain festival-goers with magic, stilt walking, and juggling.

The market’s youngest visitors can learn about the different parts of a sunflower and make a sunflower craft at the Power of Produce (POP) Club tent. The POP Club is free to join and offers kids a craft, project or activity each week. For every activity they complete, kids can earn $2 in POP bucks to shop the market for fresh fruits and veggies. The market will also be offering free sunflower (temporary) tattoos.

Easton Farmers’ Market will host Be Love Succulents as a guest vendor, and Separatist Beer Project in the Local Libations tent. River Valley Waldorf School, a sponsor of the market, will also be on hand. Liliana Cunha will perform in the Music Tent from 10 a.m. to noon.
