The first annual Easton Book Festival is on its way to town and will take place on October 25-27th in 22 venues throughout our city! This landmark event will bring over 200 authors, illustrators, and publishers from all over the world to sign copies of their books, give panel discussions, lectures, and classes, and meet members of our community in person. This is a literacy-promoting event for adults and children that is sure to become one of Easton’s favorite annual happenings!
We hope you will help us get the word out to the community about all the exciting upcoming events taking place during the Easton Book Festival in October. In addition to our adult literary offerings, the Children’s Book Festival will be running concurrently with the EBF and offering imaginative workshops, children’s book author, illustrator, and character Meet’n’Greets, and a very special participation in the Easton-Phillipsburg Halloween parade.
Volunteer Opportunities
The EBF welcomes volunteers of all ages and capabilities to help with the planning and execution of the festival. High School students can help out for two hours at a time during the festival and receive a free EBF t-shirt, valuable skills, and community volunteer credits to include on their resume. To volunteer for EBF, please go to https://eastonbookfestival.com/volunteer-submission/ and fill out the form. We hope to have at least two volunteers in each of our 25 venues during each venue event over the three-day festival, so there are plenty of volunteer opportunities for everyone!
Sponsorship Opportunities
Sponsoring the EBF is a wonderful way to get the word out about your business and/or show your community you value local cultural programming. The EBF welcomes contributions of any amount—small, or large— to help us pay for venues, author transportation and housing, food, drinks, and honorariums for our guest speakers and presenters. Please go to https://eastonbookfestival.com/sponsor-submission/ for more information on sponsoring the EBF.
Our downtown sponsors will receive a window decal to let festival-attendees know your business is part of the EBF experience. As this event is anticipated to bring up to 10,000 visitors to the Easton downtown area over the three-day period, we will be printing and handing out the venue and participating business maps. Don’t let the passers-by pass you by!
In addition to formal sponsorships, the EBF has launched a crowd-sourcing campaign that may be found at https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/easton-book-festival1 . Contributions of $1 or more and sharing this campaign with your friends and neighbors will help us fund our festival—thank you!
We look forward to sharing book love with the community on October 25-27th, at the Easton Book Festival and hope to see you all there!
