Chilly afternoon, a warm drink, a crackling fire, and a great book. We're headed for cozy blanket season, Easton area! Be ready for it by signing up for a library card today!
September is Library Card Sign Up Month and with about 2 weeks left in the month there's still time to use the links below or head to your local library to sign up for a library card! While you're at it sign your child(ren) up for a card too! My 9 year old daughter recently signed up for her own card and she loves keeping it in her wallet and using it to check out her library selections. She also loves receipts (I know, who loves receipts ) and was so proud to get her very own receipt listing her books and due dates. Library visits can be magical for kids as they dive into a new world within a book, find a book for a loved one to read to them, take part in free library activities and more! And who doesn't love to hear their adorable little one say, "let's go to the li-berry", I know it makes me smile every time!
As an avid reader (I'm currently reading book 39 in my 2024, 52 book, book challenge) the library saves me a ton of money! As much as I would love to purchase every book I read, it's just not feasible for me, so the library is an excellent option! I love going to the library, logging into my library account to place books on hold and, most exciting, getting that email that the book I've been waiting for has arrived!
So head on over to your local library, listed below, to join in the fun. Be sure to bring your license or other government issued ID with a valid home address. Snap a picture of you and/or your child with a new library card and tag @mackideaston on Instagram and @Macaroni Kid Easton PA on Facebook to be featured!
